Market City is owned by the State Government of Western Australia and is the primary fruit and vegetable wholesale market for the State of Western Australia (WA). The site located at the cnr of South St and Bannister Rd also serves as the home to Perth`s largest and most diversified markets regularly attracting crowds of 5000 or more. Established in July 1990 it has continued to grow into a Sunday institution for the avid bargain hunters and for families wanting a great family day out. Open every Sunday of the year it boasts over 300 selling stalls - new and second hand selling almost everything imaginable. It really is a bargain hunters paradise! We have free parking for over 1000 cars on site for our patrons.

Market City was built from new and opened in October 1989 and located 16 km south of Perth, the capital city of WA. It occupies a site area of some 51 hectares (510,000m²) of which 112,800m² is developed with increasing demand.
